Among the most popular tourist activities are water activities.
Puerto Aventuras hosts some great opportunities for snorkeling, diving, sailing, fishing, and swimming. If none of those things interest you, the beautiful beaches are great for just relaxing and working on your tan.
When traveling to the Caribbean if you don't scuba dive or snorkel you only get to see the upper half of it all. You may choose to dive the second largest coral reef in the world, snorkel a natural cenote with Mayan ruins or dare enter the longest cave ever explored.
Dare to go where no one has gone before, and on the way capture incredible images full of colors from stalactites and stalagmites in gin-clear-water.
No long boat rides in wavy seas, the second largest coral reef in the world lies 100 yards away for PA's main beach.
Divers may plan and decide their own adventure. The reef's first platform is only 60' deep and will offer all you'll want to see. Second platform will go 120' for the more demanding and from there a cliff where the most daring diver will not reach bottom.
You can hire guides to take you to some of the nearby reefs for snorkeling or diving. The closest reef in Puerto Aventuras is just a few meters (yards) from the beach.
The Dive Aventuras Dive Center has a highly-trained and experienced staff of multi-lingual instructors, divemasters and guides as well as state-of-the-art equipment and custom dive boats that ensure you a safe and action-filled vacation experience
According to your looks, our staff will personally place a cap on your head while they sing Gilligan's Island theme song to the dive site.
SCUBA EXCURSIONS Puerto Aventuras (single dives)

Tortugas Reef (2 dives, half day)
It takes just a quick 15 minute boat ride to reach the Tortugas Reef (70´) in Playa Del Carmen. This is one of the most exciting dive sites in our area where we regularly encounter turtles, barracudas and (depending on the season) schools of tarpon.
Cenotes (2 dives, half day)
The Mexican Cenotes have the reputation of being one the worlds finest fresh water caverns. We are fortunate to have some of the very best right at our door steps. After a short drive into the jungle we encounter crystal clear water (visibility above 150´) and incredible limestone formations - all immersed in a magical play of sunlight. The Cenotes are large and cathedral like; we dive in small groups of 4 divers.
